Hydrogen Water and Fatty Liver — What a 2019 Pilot Trial Found

A 2019 randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover pilot trial in Clinical Nutrition ESPEN tested 28 days of hydrogen-rich water in 12 overweight adults with mild-to-moderate non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The hydrogen group showed roughly a 20 percent reduction in liver fat content, independent of any change in body weight, alongside improvements in liver-enzyme profiles.
