Featured research
A 2025 umbrella review of 204 randomised controlled trials found photobiomodulation significantly improved outcomes across nine health conditions — with the strongest evidence for fibromyalgia, knee osteoarthritis, cognitive function, and hair density. Here is what the evidence shows.

Hydrogen Therapy
Clinical trial (50 people)
2022
·
International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health
A placebo-controlled trial gave 50 people recovering from COVID-19 two weeks of hydrogen inhalation. Walking distance and lung function improved versus placebo.
Hydrogen Therapy
Systematic Review
January 2023
·
Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention
A 2023 systematic review of 27 studies found molecular hydrogen improved survival rates, reduced chemotherapy side effects, and slowed tumour growth across multiple cancer types — positioning H₂ therapy as a meaningful complement to conventional cancer care.
Red Light Therapy
Umbrella Review
2025
·
Systematic Reviews (BioMed Central)
A 2025 umbrella review of 204 randomised controlled trials found photobiomodulation significantly improved outcomes across nine health conditions — with the strongest evidence for fibromyalgia, knee osteoarthritis, cognitive function, and hair density. Here is what the evidence shows.
Hydrogen Therapy
Clinical Trial
2012
·
Medical Gas Research
A 2012 randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial in Medical Gas Research tested hydrogen-rich water in 10 elite male soccer players performing intense cycle exercise. Pre-exercise HRW blunted the rise in blood lactate during exercise and protected peak torque decline — pointing to a measurable effect on muscle fatigue at high intensities.
Red Light Therapy
Clinical Trial
2014
·
Photomedicine and Laser Surgery
A 2014 controlled trial in Photomedicine and Laser Surgery tested red and near-infrared light therapy in 136 participants over 30 sessions across fifteen weeks. Both light-treated groups showed significant improvements in skin complexion, roughness, patient satisfaction, and ultrasound-measured intradermal collagen density compared with untreated controls.
